The season II of this unique business property has received an unprecedented 270,000 entries. Vodafone Drive into the Big League-II is a unique initiative that extends an enviable opportunity to small and medium enterprises (SME’s) to get their logo placed on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes cars that will race at the second season of formula one event slated for October 26-28, 2012.
Around 5-7 shortlisted Indian SMEs from cities in around Odisha, Madhya Pradesh and Chhattisgarh will participate in a battle of wits at the city qualifying event in Bhubaneswar this Tuesday, September 11, 2012. After another round of selection adjudged by a panel of Vodafone officials and jury expert, two winners will qualify for the Grand Finale of Vodafone Drive into the Big League-II, to be held in New Delhi, closer to the Grand Race Day.
Out of over 270,000 entries received nationally, over 10,000 were from this region. Interestingly, it’s been noted that a large chunk of responses are from enterprises in the Transportation and Storage sector followed by Construction.

From September 7 - 13, qualifying rounds of Vodafone Drive into the Big League -II are being held at 10 prominent SME industry hubs, including Bhubaneswar. Two winners from each venue and a wild card winner from the online contest (a total of 21 SME contestants) will then debate on a reality show on a leading business channel all through September/October 2012 for the winning slot. In an 8 part reality television series, the final winner will be selected by an expert jury who will evaluate the finalists providing them with real situations that each of their businesses could face and how they would work around those situations.
In the first season of Vodafone Drive into the Big League, M/S ABC Consultants won the title amongst the 80,000 companies vying for the title and had their logo displayed on the Vodafone McLaren Mercedes car that raced in the first season of formula one event in Delhi.
