Internet of Things Service Platform

Just embracing the various possibilities offered by IoT is not enough. Businesses also need to successfully manage these deployments. Vodafone’s Internet of Things Service Platform is a managed connectivity platform providing you with control, visibility and manageability of your assets.

  • Features

The IoT Service Platform has an easy-to-use ‘self-service’ web interface that allows authorised users in your organisation to access vital management information, which can help reduce the cost of Internet of Things deployments and their maintenance. As part of Internet of Things Solutions, we provide pre-provisioned and ready-to-use SIMs that can be fully integrated into your manufacturing and distribution process.

    How it works

After logging in, authorised users in your organisation can access the dashboard, which provides an overview of your organisation’s entire IoTdeployments, with quick access menus and a SIM/connection search. You will also be able to define the behaviour and capabilities of a group of assets, such as permitted services, SIM states etc. and retrieve a list of assets based on predefined criteria such as service profile, status or custom attributes.

  • Benefits
    • Helps reduce operational costs due to remote manageability of SIM cards deployed for Internet of Things Solutions
    • Allows access to and management of SIMs without operator intervention
    • Helps prevent SIM misuse and detects faulty SIMs thus saving on unpredictable costs
    • Enables businesses to plan the SIM lifecycle management for their products
    • Ensures secure end-to-end transactions with private APN services
    • Provides control, visibility and manageability of IoT SIMs
