Sign up

  • Step 1: Simply log on to www.mobile.msn.com
  • Step 2: Tell us your Hotmail / Messenger account ID
  • Step 3: Select Vodafone (India) as the operator and enter your mobile number
  • Step 4: After you receive an SMS code, enter it in the next page to authenticate yourself. Your Hotmail messenger codes will be then sent to you by SMS, which you would need to save in your address book as you can access your accounts only through these numbers.

  • You will receive an alert every time you get an email in your Hotmail account.
  • You can read, reply or delete it using SMS. You can also chat with your buddies on MSN Messenger using SMS chat.

Note (for SMS based service):

  • For messenger, the version on the PC needs to support PC - mobile functionality.
  • The default action available after you have signed up to the service is that you can send Messenger SMS / messages from your Vodafone mobile phone to your buddies.
  • However, if you wish to have two-way conversations with your buddies then you need to enable this.
  • Simply sign out and sign back in to Messenger on your PC with the same account that you have used to sign up to the MSN mobile SMS service. Once you have done this you will be prompted "Would you like to allow your contacts to send instant messages to your cell phone or pager?"

Prepaid Customers:
  • Services to your mobile number would be discontinued if there is no usage i.e., no Voice Calls (incoming or outgoing), SMS & Data for any continuous period of 60 days. No refund would be given for any unused talk time balance and validity of the card. Number will be unusable post disconnection.
  • Customer with lifetime validity needs to do mandatorily recharge with Rs.200 cumulative in 180 days to avoid disconnection.
Postpaid Customers:
  • Services to your mobile number would be discontinued if there is no usage i.e., no Voice Calls (incoming or outgoing), SMS & Data for 1st 2 bill cycles post activation date.
