Steps to book airline ticket

- Log into the M-Shop application
- Select the Air Tickets menu option
- Select your Trip Type (One Way/ Round Trip), Destination From & To, Travel Dates & No. of Passengers , Class of travel & Preferred Airline. This will give you a list of available flights with cost, timings & flight duration details
- Select the flight of your choice
- Enter the passenger details
- Enter your MPIN to authenticate the transaction
- After accepting the Terms and Conditions, enter your name & credit card details
- On successful payment, you’ll will receive a confirmation message with the flight PNR

1. What is the Air ticketing service on Vodafone M-Shop?
It is a service by, which you can book air tickets on your mobile phone. The payment for these transactions can be made using your VISA/MASTER credit card.
2. Can I book international flights as well on M-Shop?
Currently you can book only domestic flights on M-Shop. However in the next phase you will also be able to book international flights.
3. What are the maximum and minimum numbers of tickets that can be purchased in a single transaction?
At the moment up to 9 passengers can be booked in a single transaction.
4. Is there any restriction on the number of children or infants that can travel with an adult passenger?
At least 1 of the traveler has to be above 12 years. Every traveler above 12 years can take maximum 1 passenger less than 2 years of age with him/her.
5. How do I collect a physical ticket for my flight? Do I need to carry any ID or credit card proof?
An eTicket is sent to the email ID entered at the time of booking, the customer can carry a print out of the same to the check-in counter.
In case you do not have a print-out of the eTicket, you can go to the respective Airline’s ticket counter, tell them your airline PNR number & ask for the eTicket.
An ID proof is mandatory for all travelers, the customer needs to provide a photo ID that is recognized by the Government of India like the passport, drivers license, voter’s id card, PAN card, etc.)
In case you have booked the ticket using someone else’s card, it is advisable to carry a copy of the same duly signed by the card holder.
6. How many days in advance can I book tickets for?
Depending upon the airline & sector you wish to fly, you can book tickets up to 1 year in advance till 6 hours before departure for domestic flight.
7. Are there any convenience charges or payment gateway charges applicable for booking my tickets from Yatra?
There is an additional non-refundable fee that a customer has to pay, the fee amount would vary depending upon the airline, sector, no. of passengers etc.
There is a payment gateway charge that is applicable on each transaction, this is borne by Yatra & the end customer doesn’t have to pay this.
8. What happens in a case, where a customer has made a payment but does not receive the SMS confirmation/ ticket via email or deletes it by mistake?
The customer can call the Yatra call center & the call center executive can regenerate the transaction SMS which will contain the Airline PNR number.
Alternatively the customer can call Yatra Helpline number to ask for an eTicket to be mailed again, in case there is some other issue with the booking, the Travel Consultant will be able to assist the customer. (The customer can also log on to my booking section and print his e-ticket from there)
9. What if I have entered an incorrect email ID by mistake & hence not received my air ticket via email. How can I correct my email ID?
The customer would need to call the Yatra call center in order to have the e-mail ID rectified and also have the e-ticket mailed to the correct e-mail ID.
10. What does a customer do in case he wants to know the PNR no.?
He can call the Vodafone call center who will be able to tell him the PNR no. Alternatively he can even call the Yatra call center & the executive can regenerate the transaction SMS which will contain the Airline PNR number.
11. What does a customer do in case he wants to know the status of his ticket?
The customer would need to call the Yatra call center to get the updated status on his ticket.
12. What happens in case customer buys a higher amount of tickets by mistake? Is there a refund process?
Yes, there is a refund process, when you book a ticket with Yatra, you automatically become a member of Yatra & the email ID used to make the booking becomes your login ID. An auto-generated password is sent to the same email ID.
The user can logon to his account on Yatra.com website & visit “My Bookings” section to cancel the booking & the refund is processed. (Standard airline cancellation and online Yatra service fee (ysf) of Rs 160 would apply). In cases of GoAir and Paramount the client cannot cancel online. The client would need to call the contact center to cancel the same. (Standard airline cancellation charges and offline Yatra service fee (ysf) of Rs 310 will apply)
Alternatively, the user can call Yatra helpline numbers & speak with a Travel Consultant to cancel or make changes in any of his booking & the refund is processed. (Standard airline cancellation and offline Yatra service fee (ys) of Rs 310 will apply)
13. What if I need to change my flight timings or date that I have booked. How can I go about the same?
The customer needs to call Yatra Helpline number to make any amendments in a booking. (Standard airline amendment and difference of fare [if any] and Yatra service fee of Rs 250 will apply)
14. In case I need to cancel my flight due to an emergency will I get a complete refund of the ticket cost?
In the occurrence of death or hospitalization of immediate family member, the Yatra service fee would be waived off, subject to documented proof of the same.
The airline cancellation/no show charges waiver is at the discretion of the airline.
15. Is there any limit on the cumulative number of air tickets I can purchase in a month?
No, you can make as many airline bookings as you need in 1 month
16. Is there any limit on the number of air tickets I can buy from my mobile number in a month?
No, you can make as many airline bookings as you need for your mobile number
17. Is there any limit on the number of air ticket payments I can make from one credit card in a month?
No, you can make as many airline bookings as you need in using 1 credit card in a month, however, the same card cannot be used more than 3 times within 24 hrs.
