Activation

Roaming is automatically activated on your phone the moment you leave the country.


You’ll be charged a monthly rental of Rs 99 when any of the following chargeable events are performed while on International Roaming

1.Making an Outgoing call- USSD Callback* or Direct dial
2.Receiving an Incoming call
3.Sending Messages
4.Using GPRS

Here's how you can make calls

You can make calls in 2 ways depending on the location and the operators you have latched on to.

Direct Dial

This is applicable in 26 countries around the world.


How does Direct Dial work?

Just dial the number you wish to call as you would in case of a regular outgoing call. i.e. + followed by ISD code, STD code and the number you want to call; eg.: to call 26577228 in Gujarat, India while roaming in any of the above locations, you need to dial 00917926577228 or +917926577228.

Call Back

With this facility you can make calls in over 177 countries.


How does Call Back work?
  • To make your call, dial *221*, followed by 00, ISD code, STD code and the number you want to call, followed by # and then press OK. For eg, if you wish to call 5664 5000 in Mumbai, dial *221*00912256645000# and then press OK.
  • Your screen will then display: "Requesting", followed by "Your request is being processed. Please wait."
  • Once this is done, your own Vodafone number or "call" will flash on the screen, and your phone will ring. Answer and you will get connected.

    PDP is Packet Data Protocol
    When you want to use GPRS, your mobile will first attach to a GPRS enabled network in the country you are roaming and then your mobile will automatically activate a “PDP context”. PDP context is essential for the visited network to authenticate you as a valid GPRS user. Some operators may charge for PDP context.

Latest Callertunes

Prepaid Customers:
  • Services to your mobile number would be discontinued if there is no usage i.e., no Voice Calls (incoming or outgoing), SMS & Data for any continuous period of 60 days. No refund would be given for any unused talk time balance and validity of the card. Number will be unusable post disconnection.
  • Customer with lifetime validity needs to do mandatorily recharge with Rs.200 cumulative in 180 days to avoid disconnection.
Postpaid Customers:
  • Services to your mobile number would be discontinued if there is no usage i.e., no Voice Calls (incoming or outgoing), SMS & Data for 1st 2 bill cycles post activation date.
