All Vodafone Prepaid customers can recharge their Vodafone mobile phone online. All you need is a valid credit card or an online banking account to make payments for your recharge amount.


How do I recharge my Prepaid phone online?

Step 1 Provide your Vodafone recharge details – Log on towww.vodafone.in. click on Prepaid > Recharge online. Select your recharge amount and fill in your details (name, Vodafone number, email id) and click on ‘Enter’.

Step 2 You will be asked to reconfirm your details. Post which select the payment option from the drop-down and click on ‘Submit’ You will be securely redirected to the payment interface of your choice, ie credit card gateway or internet banking.

Step 3 Confirm the payment at the credit card/ bank payment gateway – Enter your authentication details at the credit card/ bank payment gateway and confirm the payment amount. Your account will be debited for the recharge amount.

Step 4 Receive a recharge confirmation – You will immediately receive an online transaction confirmation and a Transaction Reference Number as an acknowledgement of your payment. On successful payment, a recharge will be initiated on your Vodafone number and you will receive an SMS confirmation from us within 15 minutes.

What if I select the wrong region?

The recharge request is taken on the basis of your Vodafone mobile number.If the number and the circle combination entered is incorrect then the transaction would be not be carried out.The region drop down is provided for the purpose of your information about availability of the services and the amount of talktime you will get for each recharge amount However, if the circle entered is invalid and the transaction gets processed, a refund will be issued within 4 working days.

When can my request be invalid?

A request will be invalid on account of following reasons:
If you enter an invalid or inactive Vodafone number
If you enter a Vodafone Postpaid number
If your Recharge request is out of Amount / Time
In all the above cases Bank / Credit Card will debit your account for amount entered by you. However, being invalid, the request will be rejected. Refund will be made to your account within 5 working days.
Yes, you can call Customer Care while roaming internationally. International Roaming charges will be applicable.


How do I know that my recharge is successful?

Once you make a successful transaction you will come to a payment confirmation page and will receive an SMS confirmation indicating the recharge.


SMS confirmation sample:
Dear Customer, you account has been successfully credit with a recharge of Rs 200.00. Your currently available balance is Rs 175.00. Please call 111 for further details.


What if talktime does not increase ?

The same is possible when the Vodafone number entered is invalid. In such cases; refund will be made to your account within 5 working days. In case you do not receive the same within 5 working days, kindly call our 24 Hour Customer Care.


What if I do not get a recharge confirmation SMS?

In case you do not receive a recharge confirmation SMS, we request you to check if your account has been debited and also check your balance by pressing *141# or *140#


How long does the refund process take?

The refund process takes 5 working days to reverse the amount back into your account.

  • Customer with lifetime validity needs to do mandatorily recharge with Rs.200 cumulative in 180 days to avoid disconnection.
Postpaid Customers:
  • Services to your mobile number would be discontinued if there is no usage i.e., no Voice Calls (incoming or outgoing), SMS & Data for 1st 2 bill cycles post activation date.
