Frequently, these unsolicited communications claim to offer business opportunities, employment within Vodafone, or indicate that the recipient has won a competition or lottery.
Vodafone has not authorized, and is not responsible for, these communications. Vodafone advises members of the public to exercise caution with any request to provide any personal or confidential information. Also exercise utmost caution in case of any fraudulent SMS communication requiring you to call any number as most often these numbers may be International numbers attracting ISD call/ SMS rates.
It has come to light that few subscribers are being targeted under the pretext of winning lotteries or prize through calls / SMS claiming to be from representatives of Vodafone or other reputed organizations. These are attempts to lure you into making high value calls or revealing your personal information or to pay a ‘commission’ to claim your winnings. Please exercise due care and caution while responding to such calls / SMS, as they DO NOT represent Vodafone. Vodafone will not be liable / responsible for any consequences whatsoever.
