How to activate National Roaming Service
National Roaming is already available on every Vodafone mobile phone. In case national cell phone roaming service isn’t available, you can activate National Roaming:
- Log onto My Vodafone and subscribe online to National Roaming Service
- sms ACT NR to 111 (toll free) from your Vodafone mobile phone
- Call 111 from your Vodafone mobile phone and follow the instructions

International Roaming
Use Vodafone’s global roaming service and receive & make roaming calls from over 180 countries. Save money on wireless roaming by roaming for less with Vodafone’s International roaming charges.
How to activate International Roaming Service
You can switch on global wireless roaming service by:
- Fill up a simple Service Request Form and pay a security deposit at any Vodafone Store to subscribe to the cheapest International roaming service in India.
- Log on to My Vodafone and subscribe online to International wireless roaming.
- Call 111
- sms ACT IR to 111 (toll free)
Apart from roaming call charges a standard roaming deposit of Rs 5,000 is charged. However, based on the discretion of Vodafone credit services, additional roaming fees may be payable.
International Roaming Rates
You’ll need to pay a monthly roaming charge (rental) of Rs 149, plus International roaming charges while abroad. To make things easier, we’ve split our International roaming tariffs into 12 zones across the world.

GPRS mobile roaming is available on select networks only. Home roaming tariffs apply for GPRS on Vodafone and 10p / 10KB for GPRS usage on Idea, Reliance and Spice Punjab networks. Internationally, GPRS has mobile roaming coverage & can be accessed in over 162 operators across 84 countries. While roaming internationally, GPRS is charged at a flat rate of Rs 5.5 / 10 KB.
