Great Place to Work

At Vodafone India, our employees’ happiness is of prime importance. Our employees touch the lives of millions of people through our technology. We want them to trust the people they work for and have pride in what they do. We believe that we’re at our best, when our employees are at theirs.

We ensure that we have happy employees with great careers with the help of 4 key pillars: building strong capability foundations aligned to business needs, total rewards at Vodafone, diversity and inclusion, and recognition and performance dialogues.

Building Strong Capability Foundations Aligned to Business Needs

At Vodafone India, we focus on building strong functional / strategic capabilities across functions and levels. To achieve this, we have developed various platforms and methodologies.

Signature on Boarding Process - All Aboard

At Vodafone, we drive excellence via a structured learning plan for new joinees. New Senior Leaders must follow a 90 day monitored plan, where they meet the right people, learn essential technical programs and skills and get practical market experience.

Functional Capability & Academies

We are committed toward building functional / cross-functional expertise to enhance individual performance and productivity, and build capability for new business.

Coaching for Leadership Impact

At Vodafone India, we strive to provide our people with the best possible work culture and environment. This program aims to help our line managers promote a congenial and cohesive environment, thus driving a high performance culture.

Easy Access to Learning

A typical development journey in Vodafone follows the 70:20:10 principle, with 70% dedicated to on-the-job learning, 20% to coaching and 10% to classroom training.

Vodafone Learning, our e-learning initiative, comprises standard as well as customised modules. It includes access to Harvard ManageMentor – a tie up with Harvard University’s e-learning facilities.

Our employees also have access to the Quench online library which offers a wide variety of books that can be delivered to their desk.

Vodafone Scholars

Vodafone Scholars provides employees with educational assistance for management programs, through accredited institutes / universities, for business-related course work.

Total Rewards at Vodafone

Share in Our Success

Vodafone India’s Total Rewards philosophy fits with our “We’re at our best, when you’re at yours” belief. Our Total Rewards package comprises 4 important components: equitable compensation, market competitive benefits (statutory and non-statutory), investing in learning, and development and conducive work environment.

Our compensations and benefits ensure strong differentiators for company and individual performance levels while our sales incentive plans provide significant value and enhancement opportunities for our frontline teams. Our revenue generators enjoy challenging assignments while our annual bonus plans generate internal business competitiveness in our federal circle structure while aligning with our overall business priorities. At senior levels, we provide long-term accretion opportunities, which are also performance and potential differentiated.

We believe in timely reward, recognition and motivation for those who live “The Vodafone Way”. We want our employees’ careers at Vodafone to be truly rewarding. If you believe you can make a difference, there’s an exciting opportunity waiting for you here.

Diversity and Inclusion

At Vodafone we aspire to create a workplace that works for everyone, in every state, and in every circle that we operate in. We value the unique experiences and perspectives brought by our customers, employees and the community. It helps us create a unique culture based on transparency, integrity and ethics, which leads our thoughts and actions.

Diversity at Vodafone is not just about cultures, lifestyles or gender coming together. It’s also about identifying and embracing the differences between the work force.

We have initiatives that are aimed at creating an inclusive work culture:

Maternity Leave: Returning to Work after Maternity Leave

All women employees returning to work after maternity leave, including adoptive mothers, are eligible for flexible working hours for up to six months from the date of delivery or adoption.

Reach Home Safe Policy

Woman employees can avail of our home drop facility. They are also eligible for reimbursement for conveyance beyond a particular time that is defined for each location based on the conditions there.

Vodafone Inclusivity Network

The Vodafone Inclusivity Network (VIN) recognises the uniqueness of individuals and their experiences and aligns them with the Vodafone Way. This Code of Conduct lays down the high ethical standards that all our employees must uphold.

Recognition and Performance Dialogues

Performance Dialogue

Vodafone India has always been driven by performance. Our vision is to create a performance culture where goal-setting is business-aligned, dialogue processes are fair, objective, robust and simple, and there exists an on-going developmental focus. We want a ‘High Performance Culture' which is not only symbolic, but also practiced as a way of life. Our feedback, coaching and development are not restricted to once a year. We encourage ongoing dialogue between employees and their Reporting Manager.

Celebrate Success

At Vodafone we have a “culture of appreciation” that recognises the exceptional work of our exceptional people. The cardinal principles of our recognition philosophy are:

SSTars

Speed, Simplicity & Trust (SST) is our national program which recognises employees who have demonstrated Vodafone values. It comprises three levels – SSTars, SuperSSTars and MegaSSTars.

Region Star

Region Star is a quarterly recognition program for our zones (first level business units that are closest to our customers). It recognises zone achievements related to business results and delivering on customer expectations. The Region Star program is rolled out nationally for quarterly recognition of the best zone in each region.

Circle Combat

This celebrates commercial excellence within a circle in the frontline. It drives the ‘One Vodafone’ competitive spirit, motivates high performance amongst our circle teams to ‘Raise the Bar’ and recognises our crème de la crème – achievers within commercial functions.

Strike Force

This is the national reward and recognition program for front-end sales employees. The best performers from each circle are nominated based on predetermined performance criteria. They are recognised by senior management and rewarded with an unforgettable experience in an international destination.

Global Heroes

The pinnacle of Vodafone Global’s Recognition Programme, it recognises consistent high performers who embody the Vodafone Way, and celebrate these heroes on a global platform.
