Vodafone’s Wireline Services are backed by a state-of-the-art network infrastructure, comprising of over 140,000 km of strong fibre backbone, over 400 PoPs spread across business clusters across the country and a Network Operations Centre for 24x7 performance management. Our Wireline Network is built on a Hierarchical Ring Architecture comprising of Super Cores and Regional Cores that ensure maximum network redundancy.
This network redundancy is delivered via:
Dual Plane Architecture at Regional Core
While each Super Core is connected to at least 3 Super Cores, each Regional Core location is dual homed with a Super Core or Regional Core. The resulting design is capable of delivering 99.999% availability within a PoP.
Self-healing Super Cores
Vodafone’s Network Super Core is built on an Auto Switched Optical Network (ASON) architecture which provides for automatic path switching in case of failures.
